Actually Baby's Breath is one of my favorite flower...
I love flower that are simple but at the same time it is elegant..
So today, I'm giving some info about that flower..

Description:
The flowers of the baby’s breath are small, not much bigger than a pencil eraser. Baby’s breath plants branch heavily, resulting in hundreds of flowers per plant. The stems are very slender, resulting in an airy effect in the garden.



With a light and elegant appearance, baby's breath is a beautiful bedding plant that can fill your garden area with tiny clouds of white showy flowers.

Gypsophila is a genus of flowering plants in the carnation family, Caryophyllaceae. They are native to Eurasia, Africa, Australia, and the Pacific Islands.Turkey has a particularly high diversity of Gypsophila taxa, with about 35 endemic species. Some Gypsophila are introduced species in other regions.







The genus name is from the Greek gypsos ("gypsum") and philios ("loving"), a reference to the gypsum-rich substrates on which some species grow. Plants of the genus are known commonly as baby's-breath, a name which also refers specifically to the well known ornamental species Gypsophila paniculata.





SITE SELECTION:


Baby's breath is best grown in full sun, although it will get by with as little as 4 hours of direct sun. In full sun, baby's breath is easy to grow and is drought tolerant as well. It prefers rich, well drained or sandy soil conditions.


DESIGN'S TIPS :

  • This flower should be pairing with roses in floral arrangements
  • Place baby’s breath plants around your spring flowering bulbs, and the emerging plants will hide yellowing bulb foliage without choking out the bulbs.
